Got a dusty trumpet sitting in your attic?
Cobwebs in your clarinet?
Cobwebs in your clarinet?
Do Re MI could be for you! Do Re MI is a program sponsored by the Armstrong School District Foundation. “Do-Re-MI” stands for Donated, Refurbished Musical Instruments. It is made possible through a partnership with Murphy's Music Center of Leechburg.
Simply donate your gently used brass or woodwind instruments to the Foundation. In return, you can get rid of musical instruments that are sitting around the house unused – and get a tax deduction as well. You could be supporting the next Louis Armstrong or Benny Goodman!
The ASD Foundation, a non-profit group that works to expand educational opportunities for youth, will get these donated instruments into the hands of students whose families may not have the funds to buy an instrument.
Drop off your brass or woodwind instrument at any Armstrong School District ELEMENTARY school office or at the Armstrong Jr./Sr. High School. Click here for a donor form.
Parents who would like to submit a request form to receive a donated instrument for their student can click here for a instrument request form.
For more information, please call Dr. Paula Berry at (724) 548-7651 or email him at pberry@asd.k12.pa.us.
