Starting in the spring of 2005, the Foundation began offering Armstrong School District educators the opportunity to apply for $500 Classroom Innovations mini-grants. These mini-grants are designed to support innovative educational initiatives that might not otherwise happen. This program now offers four categories for educators to apply for.

Since 2005, the Armstrong School District Foundation has awarded nearly $146,000 in educator grants. These grants have given teachers the means to do innovative programs benefiting more than 23,000 students to date.
We hope additional educators will come forward with new and innovative ideas for student instruction, and we at the ASD Foundation hope to be able to fund those ideas. If you have an idea, please write an initial email to Dr. Paula Berry, ASD Foundation Executive Director, at pberry@asd.k12.pa.us, and he will share the grant applications with you.
